Prague, the entrancing capital of the Czech Republic and also the city of Kafka, extends along both banks of the river Moldau.
We leave early in the morning towards Prague. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, we start our visit at the baroque quarter of Mala Strana. A fabulous view over the capital awaits us at the summit of the Petrin tower. We then travel to the Strahov monastery, with its impressive library and to the church of Saint Nicholas. The afternoon is spent exploring Prahue castle with St Vitus cathedral, the former Royal palace, St George’s Basilica and the Golden Lane. We end the day with a boat trip on the Moldau as we enjoy a delicious dinner.
In the morning we visit Mala Prevnost in Terezin, followed with a short visit to Litomerice. Afterwards, we head back to Prague for a visit to the Jewish synagogues and the Jewish cemetery. This is followed by dinner at a local restaurant, before we go back to the hotel for overnight.
Today we discover the old part of the city. We visit the market with its astronomical clock, Tyn Church of our Lady, St Jacob’s Church and the Powder Tower with the lovely Municipal House. In the afternoon, we leave for Karlovy Vary with a visit to the largest spa in Bohemia. Back in Prague, we have dinner at the hotel.
Return journey, arriving back at around midnight.
